AI Philosophy Event: Shaping the Future of AI Education
Tech Internship leaders Nikita Narang, Myra Jain, Yash Maheshwari, Dhruv Vijay, Sophia Zhang, and Claire Schwarzhoff lead both sessions of the 2 day AI Philosophy workshop. This event was a turning point for our program, paving the way for core concepts about AI to be understood for all people.
Day 1: Real-World AI Applications
On the first day, our team discussed real world examples of how AI affects everyday life and the benefits and risks of AI. Through interactive discussions and case studies, participants gained insight into the pervasive influence of artificial intelligence in modern society.
Day 2: Policy and Practice
On day 2, our team organized meaningful activities like prioritizing AI policy topics. These hands-on exercises helped participants understand the complexities of AI governance and the importance of thoughtful policy development.
The Birth of the AI Policy Pathway
These discussions directly transitioned into the creation of the AI Policy Pathway, contributed greatly by Yash Maheshwari, giving participants insight into how the policy framework was created. This workshop laid the foundation for a comprehensive approach to AI education and policy at MVHS.
The AI Philosophy Event exemplifies our commitment to ensuring that students, parents, and educators are equipped to navigate the AI-powered future with knowledge, confidence, and ethical awareness.
