Tech Interns Visit Google's Pedagogy Team

Eight of our tech interns had the incredible opportunity to visit Google's Pedagogy team, led by Julia Wilkowski, for an in-depth exploration of AI's role in education.

Engaging with Google's Education Experts

The interns engaged in meaningful discussions with the team's UX design lead and practiced core product-development methodologies during a hands-on design thinking workshop. This immersive experience gave our students a glimpse into how one of the world's leading tech companies approaches educational technology.

Design Thinking in Practice

Throughout the session, the interns engaged in dialogue about the current state of education and explored opportunities for meaningful improvement. The design thinking workshop challenged students to apply user-centered design principles to real educational challenges.

Panel with Ben Gomes

The visit wrapped up with a panel led by Ben Gomes, Google's VP of Search Engineering, where interns shared their experiences with generative AI in school. The team discussed real classroom uses of AI, challenges students face, and ideas for the future of AI in education.

Student Voices at Google

This exchange of ideas between students and industry leaders demonstrates the value that student perspectives bring to the development of educational technology. Our interns didn't just learn from Google—they contributed their unique insights as the primary users of AI tools in education.

The visit to Google's Pedagogy team reinforced the importance of collaboration between students, educators, and technology companies in shaping the future of AI in education.
